Das autonome Geflüchtetencamp PIKPA ist ein einzigartiges und wertvolles Beispiel für demokratische Selbstverwaltung. Die solidarische Herangehensweise an humanitäre Hilfe und der offene Charakter des Camps dienen als Inspiration für die Unterstützung von Geflüchteten weltweit. PIKPA ist ein Ort der Zuflucht und des Friedens für Menschen, die Heimat und Familien verloren haben.
Aus diesem Grund bitten wir die Regierung der nördlichen Ägäis: das PIKPA Camp darf nicht geschlossen werden!
#Save PIKPA: the Open refugee camp PIKPA must remain open!
We, German Parliamentarians from the left party DIE LINKE, stand in solidarity with the committed volunteers and the refugees of self-organized PIKPA camp on Lesvos. We strongly urge the Regional Governor of the North Aegean to reconsider her announcement to shut down the camp.
PIKPA is a unique and valuable model for democratic self-governance. Its solidarity-based approach to humanitarian support and its open character serve as inspiration for the support of refugees worldwide. It is a place of shelter and peace for the most vulnerable who have lost their homes and their families.
We therefore call on the Region of the North Aegean: camp PIKPA must remain open!
